| Midway College |

Midway is an independent, liberal arts college with approximately 1,700 students, related by covenant to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) offering two and four-year degrees, located in Midway, Kentucky. Midway is the only women's college in Kentucky. The all-female Day College offers majors in four pillar programs: business, equine studies, nursing, and teacher education. Athletic teams include: cross country, track, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, tennis, equestrian hunt seat, western and eventing.
In addition to the Day College, Midway College offers programs to adult men and women, through the evening and weekend School for Career Development (SCD), offered on the Midway Campus and in more than 18 sites across Kentucky, and also through Midway College ONLINE. Both SCD and ONLINE offer accelerated degree-completion programs for working adults in popular programs such as Organizational Administration and Leadership, Homeland Security Corporate Management and Assessment, and Teacher Education, among others.
History
The mission of Midway College: "As Kentucky's only college for Women and as a forerunner in coeducational adult accelerated learning, Midway College empowers undergraduate and graduate students as leaders through a professionally-oriented liberal arts education."
Campus
The school is located on a working farm in the heart of the Kentucky Bluegrass region. The campus overlooks Midway, a small town in central Kentucky. The National Park Service placed Pinkerton Hall, the oldest building on campus, on the National Register of Historic Places on November 20, 1974.
Academic buildings
Equine Education Center houses a x 235 foot indoor riding arena, eight stalls, laboratory, classroom, a large tack room, audio-visual room, wash stall and faculty offices.
Keeneland Equine Education Center contains an indoor riding arena, 16 stalls, a tack room, washroom and office space. |

Online BA in Elementary Education P-5 (LBD) |

The Online Bachelor of Arts degree program in elementary education trains teachers to work in elementary schools. Graduates will meet the requirements for certification to teach kindergarten through grade five in Kentucky. Through reciprocal agreements, students should be able to achieve certification in some other states.
Each elementary education major must have at least one area of emphasis.
An area of emphasis can be in English/Communication, Mathematics, Fine Arts/Humanities, Social/Behavioral Sciences or Science. Within the Teacher Education Program online a dual Learning and Behavior Disorders
(LBD) certificate for elementary school educators is available. |

Online BA in Middle School Education 5-9 (LBD) |

The Bachelor of Arts Degree program in middle school education prepares teachers to teach in grades 5-9 (middle, intermediate or junior high grades). Graduates will meet the requirements for middle school certification in Kentucky and through reciprocity agreement in some other states.
Each middle school teacher must have one area of academic emphasis.
